:)

Hmm.. So finally my long break is about to get over and even though I am happy to resume work, I am also thankful to myself, God, my family and everyone for this break...

When I got back from the US, my mentor suggested that I should not think of anything apart from my life right now... "in literal sense". And thats exactly what I did. I only thought of "my life". My life devoid of work, aspirations, stress, goals, mundane routine, people and other things which were highest in my priority list. I was intermittently asked by some of my friends, "How do you pass your time now a days", "What did you do today", "Aren't you getting bored", "Are you going to waste your education", "How are you managing your finances now a days", "Where have you vanished and why are you so aloof now a days". But, this period- when I did not work, did not run after anything, did not try to prove myself, did not maintain my usual "ambivert" self has been one of the best periods of my life so far.

In our mundane routine, we follow a rut, everybody is running, behind success, goals, money, and other material aspects of our so called mechanical "planned life". And thats where we start preparing to live and planning to live but stop living. We run after things that will make us happy some day. In our quotidian life, despite having a so called "good life" there is something missing. We listen to the outer noise all the time but stop listening to our inner voice. Often we don't even have time to sit down and think what gives us "real happiness". Is it going out to party with friends, acquaintance, drinking and have "fun" or is it something that we do with ourselves, something as little as observing the stars in the sky at night, noticing our parents caring for us, observing the self.

This period re-introduced me to my childhood, me to myself. I spent time working on myself, within myself. I finally took a note of things that did not exist in my world before, spent time with my parents, siblings, nieces. I observed people, thought about their actions, their sorrows, their reactions, cause of their behavior and habits. And, most importantly, I offloaded the baggage from the past and moved ahead.

Undoubtedly I "lived" each and every moment and not planned to live. I danced, laughed, sang, giggled and rejoiced irrespective of an occasion and ultimately, whole-heartedly realized that happiness comes from within and we are being unfair to ourself in groping it in the outer world.

Love yourself, and be satisfied with yourself and the whole world would seem to smile. :)

Preface

For a long time I have not been able to write a lot on my other blog "Oozing plethora". Although, I have been planning to jot down and share my quotidian thoughts the way they come to me (i.e. no rhymes, no poetry). I did not succeed until now probably because of a lack of dedication or a fear of being over-eloquent about reading out this book of my life. But, here I am to voice out my opinions/thoughts/feelings about everything that I see and exactly the way I see it. :)
